Use Letter for a Letter source or sheet workflow
This template tests an inkjet or laser printer loaded with 8.5 × 11 inch paper. Run it after a tray, driver or viewer change. A standalone 4×6 label can sit on Letter paper at its original size; it should not be enlarged simply to use more of the sheet.
Match the PDF, driver and tray
Choose Letter in the printer driver and print the Letter PDF at 100% / Actual Size in the intended orientation. Disable browser headers, footers and Fit. Do not silently substitute A4: the two sheet formats have different height, width and margin behavior.
Diagnose clipping without shrinking the barcode
A proportional size error points to scaling. A missing sheet edge with correct interior measurements points to the device's printable area or orientation. Use a workflow-native Letter layout or correct paper selection before shrinking a complete carrier label.
Keep issued content intact
Before cutting or extracting a label from a live Letter PDF, inspect every page and identify the document type. Packing slips, customs forms or multiple unique labels may be required. The blank test confirms the sheet path only; it cannot authorize removing issued content.
