Use this test for a 4×6 media path
This template isolates the path used by common thermal shipping-label printers and by sheet media cut to 4×6. Run it after changing a roll, printer, driver, computer or PDF viewer. It does not prove that a carrier barcode will be accepted; it only tests physical page size, feed and alignment.
Make all three size settings agree
Confirm that the source PDF page is 4 × 6 inches, the operating-system or printer driver is set to 4×6, and the loaded media is actually 4×6. Print at 100% / Actual Size with browser headers, footers and Fit disabled. Do not use a custom percentage to compensate for the wrong driver media.
Read the shape of the failed test
A uniformly small or large border points to scaling. The same missing edge on every label points to media width, guides or print origin. A boundary that moves between labels points to feed or sensing. Faint bars or streaks are print-quality symptoms, not page-size evidence.
Pass before printing live postage
Measure a complete 4 × 6 inch boundary and confirm that it repeats on a second blank test. If the edge is clipped or the feed changes, follow the exact printer model's media-loading and calibration instructions. The blank file has no address, tracking number or paid postage.
